Well, heck in my continuing effort to spend more time on my own web site and less time on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, I discovered the most important page on my web site, Download Music, was screwed up when you view it in Internet Explorer. Thanks again Microsoft! The table that I was using to list all of my songs was completely wacked in IE. With Firefox and Safari it looked just fine. Since I realized I was spending way too much time monkeying around with something as mundane as a table >> Can somebody tell me why someone can’t make a WYSIWYG table editor for WordPress that is easy to use and actually works?<< to put my important work in. I would have done this earlier if I had known IE didn’t render it correctly, so to put it to an early death I decided to convert from using a table to a simple text list. You can now find all of my songs on the same download page.
I think it should be a lot easier to update from now on. And this should serve my goal of simplifying and prioritizing things so I can focus most of my energy on what is most important to me: Writing songs and recording. I am in the blues mode right now, so I have to go get back to work on the next song and when I publish it I know there will be no agonizing tables to interfer with posting the fruits of my labors to the world. Incidentally, for now the songs are all still free. I am working on adding a shopping cart system and payment processing capability to my site. Once this is done the tag after each song, “Buy $1″ with be converted to a shopping cart icon that will add the song to your cart so you can pay me for the stuff you take. Cool huh?
Good night for now world, time for me to get back to the fun stuff.
