Nursing Home Music

I first experimented with integrating music into the nursing home environment around 2002. Today I am doing it on a regular basis.  Nursing home concerts are listed on the schedule page.

You might enjoy adding my music to any of the following:

  • Alzheimer’s, Memory and Dementia Care Programs
  • Independent and Assisted Living  Centers
  • Group Homes
  • Hospitals and Health Rehabilitation Centers
  • Senior Centers/Retirement Communities

Besides these areas, I am also open to serving those with developmental disabilities, especially autism, Asperger’s syndrome, Down’s syndrome, etc.  If you would like me to provide music for your event, please feel free to contact me:  Email

I believe bringing live music to our brothers and sisters confined within nursing homes and convalescent centers is an excellent way to build community, stimulate and brighten people’s lives!  Most, if not all of these people are not there by choice and many are depressed since they have lost virtually all of their freedom: Health, home, possessions, car, money, friends, family, etc. A few minutes of music can bring one back to a happier time, restore memories, reduce depression and most importantly make everyone smile.  Wouldn’t you like to give this gift to your loved one or person you care for?

I trys to make these events fun and entertaining. I perform music from many different periods. From the 1920’s, 1930’s up to today. My repertoire include his own compositions plus standards, folk, blues, country, contemporary/pop, rock and gospel.  Many concerts are based around a theme, such as Irish/St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Aloha/Hawaiian, Christmas, etc. which folks truly enjoy.  My music style is a “bluesy folk-rock fusion”, and I am capable of bringing deep feeling to every song.

Believe it or not, I have a ton of fun with children’s songs and nursery rhymes as these songs seem to reach some of the earliest memories of those with Alzheimer’s which perhaps have not been affected by the disease yet.

  • If you would like me to perform for your group, just send me an Email.
