Do you do DoFollow? Do you want more comments on your blog?

May 30th, 2008 Print This Post

I learn a little something new every day. Today I learned, from The Frosty.com and MySEOBlog.com, that by default, WordPress enables Rel=Nofollow on all comments. Ostensibly, this was to prevent spam. It appears, according to the conventional blogging wisdom, to also reduce commenting. So, since the level of commenting I have received has been close to nothing, I figured I don’t have much to lose if I change Nofollow to Dofollow. So as of now I am officially a DoFollow site.

Check up, I remodeled my I follow, and I am now running a more sophisticated plugin to run the “no follow” rule…

It’s amazing how that one little tag can change how many comments or visitors you’ll get. I experienced a difference as well when i ran a money blog. I like blogs where I can read AND get something out of it. A BACKLINK! Why not?

And for your dofollowness, I will most likely be a regular visitor and commenter.

    G’day!
