This is the second release in the podcast series for my new album, “Lost In Your Arms of Love” and this song is called, “Michelle, When I Hear Your Name.”  I wrote this song for my daughter and yes her name is Michelle.

Hot Air Balloon

I’m sure all dads of daughters have a special bond with their child, but it is even more special when you have a special child on the autism spectrum.  There are so many things I am sure that she thinks and wants to tell me but can’t because the autism and her body get in the way and there are so many things I feel that I wish I knew she understood, but when words get in the way we just look in each others eyes and I know we both know that we have communicated the unspeakable.  In the end the lack of perfect speaking and hearing abilities doesn’t really matter because the love that binds us is a real, living force and it goes much deeper that speech ever could.  It is God who brought us together and that’s all that matters.

And likewise, it is hard for me to begin to describe to you what a unique, spiritual, blessing filled, faith inspiring, special journey it has been ever since the day she was born.

Here is the song:  Michelle, When I Hear Your Name
