Here is an bit of interesting music trivia for you: As noted in my prior posts, music has therapeutic effects on nursing home residents. In other venues, businesses, parking lots, parks, transit centers, music is also serving the common good. The Seattle Times reported in an article that Seattle area organizations have been using music piped into these areas that have historically been breeding grounds for trouble, to deter crime and apparently it is working. Andre Rieu was right; music is a universal language, even criminals seem to understand it. The Seattle Times article can be found here.
